  • What is the difference between plan management and support co-ordination?

  • What is the difference between plan management, NDIS management and self-management?

  • What do I do if I’m not happy with my plan?

  • Can I request orthotics

  • DMO suits, Tomatoe glasses?

We will be bringing plenty of handouts to answer many of these questions.  This workshop will cater for questions regarding both ECEI (0-6) and NDIS (7-65).

Challenge Weekend is fun personal development weekend for people with Down syndrome aged 16 and over. Held twice a year at the Gold Coast and SunShine Coast Active Recreation Centres, participants ('Challengers') are allocated to small groups captained by a volunteer team leader who provides peer support for the duration of the weekend.

Help us raise awareness and fundraise, by joining our Bridge to Brisbane - Down Syndrome Queensland Team.

Down Syndrome Queensland will pay for your registration and give you a team shirt.  
All you have to do is to pledge to raise a minimum of ;
• $250 per individual
• $500 per team up to 4 people
• $750 per team 5 to 8
• $1000 per team 8 and up

Housing Forum

Registrations for the Housing Forums will close very soon, so make sure to not miss out on this opportunity to get some great information and ask any questions!

 We will have information on offer about:

·        What housing options are available (e.g. accommodation being offered by service providers, private rental arrangements, buying your own house, building at the back of the family home)

·        Supports that are available to allow the person to live independently (e.g. through the NDIS and other means)

 

We will also allocate some time at the end of the session where the speakers can answer any specific questions you may have.
